Terms & Conditions
The ground rules for using this website and ordering steel from Sangam Steels India. Plain language, no surprises — the same way we bill.
Effective date: 8 July 2026 · Applies to sangamsteelsindia.com and all orders placed through it.
1. Who we are
“Sangam Steels India” / “Sangam Steels” (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a precision steel cutting and supply business located at D-92 / D-93, Gamanagatti Industrial Estate, Hubli, Karnataka 580025, India. You can reach us at +91 70221 81008 or admin@sangamsteelsindia.com. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
2. Products, quotations & pricing
- All bars, cut pieces and grades listed are supplied against the specifications shown at the time of ordering (grade, size, length, quantity).
- Prices shown on the website and in the configurator are indicative estimates. The final price is confirmed by our team on the order confirmation / proforma invoice, based on prevailing steel market rates on the date of confirmation.
- All prices are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. GST is charged at the applicable rate on the invoice.
- Stock availability shown on the website is live but indicative; quantities are reserved only once an order is confirmed by our team.
3. Actual Weight Billing
We bill strictly on the net weight of your finished cut pieces, verified on calibrated weighbridges/scales. Kerf loss, off-cuts and process scrap are absorbed by us and never appear on your invoice. Weighment slips are available with every dispatch on request.
4. Orders & acceptance
- An order placed on the website is an offer to purchase. It becomes binding only when we confirm it (by phone, email or order status update).
- Custom-cut material is put into production only after confirmation. For quantities exceeding available stock, our team will confirm a lead time for the balance before processing.
- We may decline or limit orders at our discretion — for example on pricing errors, stock errors, or credit concerns — with a full refund of any amount paid.
5. Payment
- Accepted modes: NEFT / RTGS / IMPS bank transfer and UPI. Payment terms (advance / against delivery / credit) are as agreed on the order confirmation.
- Credit terms, where extended, are at our sole discretion and may be revised for overdue accounts.
- Ownership (title) of goods passes to you on full payment; risk passes on delivery.
6. Quality, tolerances & certificates
- Material is sourced from reputed rolling mills and is traceable to original mill test certificates (MTC), supplied with dispatch on request.
- Cutting is performed on CNC lines with tolerances of up to ±50 microns as per the agreed specification. Pieces outside the agreed tolerance are re-cut or replaced at our cost (see Refund Policy).
- Standard industry tolerances apply to bar diameter, straightness and surface finish as per the relevant IS/EN standards for the grade supplied.
7. Delivery
Dispatch and delivery are governed by our Shipping & Delivery Policy. Delivery timelines are best estimates; we are not liable for transporter or force-majeure delays, though we will always keep you informed.
8. Cancellations, returns & refunds
Because cut steel is made to order, cancellations and returns are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Website use & accounts
- You agree to provide accurate details (name, phone, delivery address, GSTIN where applicable) when registering or ordering.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
- You may not misuse the website — including attempting to breach security, scrape pricing at scale, or place fraudulent orders.
- All content on this website (text, images, branding) is our property and may not be reproduced without permission.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from an order is limited to the invoice value of that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as production downtime or loss of profit. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
11. Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control — including raw material shortages, mill delays, transport strikes, power failures, natural calamities or government restrictions. Affected timelines are extended accordingly.
12. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Hubli, Karnataka.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
14. Contact & grievances
